Cross-cut Shredding for Better Safety
Whether you're disposing of financial statements, personal information, or junk mail, this shredder's cross-cut technology proposes high-safety protection. Insert as many as eight pages into the 8.7-inch entry slot and watch throughout the viewing window as the paper is shortly sliced across and down into 1/5 inch scraps. Even if your documents are folded in half or riddled together with staples, the stainless steel blades will shortly shred your documents so this you can dispose of them safely.

Ideal Size for Home or Small Office
The shredder's black color and moderate size (12 x 7 x 16 inches) do it a tasteful and practical addition to a small home or office space. A 59-inch power wire lets you to store it far from power outlets. When the time comes to empty the attached wastebasket, a full-bag indicator light will alert you. Very high quality shredder. Works very well. I only used it for personal documents and have not used it for any real length of time, but appears to be well made and is better than the previous brand of shredder that I have used. I do realize it's made in China. I try to stay away from products made there, but it is impossible. This unit must be a strict quality control because I would have guessed it was made in USA.

We use this shredder nearly every day. We did try the credit card in it once and decided that it was better done with scissors. It is compact and we like it.

This is the perfect shredder for at home needs and had a lot to live up to after my original shredder of 10+ yrs gave up. I have not (and probably will not) shred credit cards on this machine. (Prefer to send them to work with my husband and let the industrial strength machine handle them) My stars rating the attributes say it all. I am very happy with this machine!

I would NOT recommend this item. I had to return it twice. First time, the plastic covering the wires of the shredder were easily exposed. The second shredder would not stop trying to shred despite there being no paper. I try all the trouble shooting technique listed on their website such as running cardboard or paper with couple drops of vegetable oil to reset the sensor w/o any success. I only had the shredder less than a week. I would not buy this brand. I'm going to get myself a Fellowes shredder.
By the way, the machine is loud. I know it's a shredder but I should not be able to hear it from across the house.
If you decide to get this despite all the warning, keep the box in case something breaks in less than a week like me.

It does do what it advertises. I've put through 8 sheets, works great. I've put thru heavy/thick papers, works great.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is that it is slim enough to fit between desk and shelf unit, but, the way the top slot is aligned, you have to pull the shredder out from between the furnishings to feed the machine. You need to feed the machine with the paper going in at no greater than 60 degrees, it seems to work best while feeding at about 45 degrees.
